This year’s Monaco Yacht Show was a roaring success, with 125 spectacular superyachts exhibiting in Monaco’s Port Hercules and a selection of other alluring attractions.
Amongst the most appealing of exhibitions was the Monaco Yacht Show 2018 Car Deck, which made its debut displaying the latest luxury supercar models, as well as a selection of executive vehicles. With luxury supercar rental and purchase especially popular in the affluent Principality, the Car Deck was well placed to attract potential drivers.
With the breathtaking backdrop of Monaco, the Car Deck inspired motoring enthusiasts and displayed Ferraris, Bentleys, Lamborghinis and Rolls Royces, to name but a few. Here, we present three of our favourite models that were on display, taking into consideration the overall wow-factor of each luxury sports car:
The sophisticated Rolls Royce Dawn exudes regality and style, demanding a large area of road space whenever it travels. The stunning dark red model on display at the Car Deck looked perfectly at place next to the fleet of luxury superyachts in Monaco’s Port Hercules. The Dawn is the convertible equivalent of the Wraith and offers a total of 570hp from its V12 engine.
The McLaren 570 GT stole the show, with its sleek styling and lavish interior. The tantalising model is optimised for roadgoing performance, combining practicality with sensational design. The panoramic roof increases visibility and enhances the already stunning interior with a greater sense of space. The 3.8 litre V8 twin-turbo engine produces a top speed of 204mph and 562bhp. The Mclaren 570 GT travels from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds.
Finished with a stylish matte black finish, the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder was in a league of its own and wowed visitors with its inimitable aesthetic. Launched in 2015, the successor of the Gallardo produces a staggering 610bhp from a monstrous V10 engine. The supercar accelerates from 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 201mph.
